Every time we met Alexis we were bowled over by her kindness and generosity - and great sense of humour. We know she will be hugely missed by many, many people but also know that her influence and example will continue to inspire others. With our love, Mark & Rosalie

How delighted I was to meet Lexi on our honeymoon in Venezula where we started our friendship sharing lime mojitos in the mangrove swamps with beautiful red ibis flying about! We had many things in common four children , love of cake! Bargains and craft bits & bobs to name but a few. I will so miss our get togethers when we laughed until our sides would burst. Bargain hunting will never be the same. You have given me and everyone who had the privilege to know you such special memories to treasure. Your generosity kindness sense of humour will be so missed. Your beautiful children are a credit to you I feel honoured to be a god mother to Jess & I will look out for all four always rest in peace dear friend you will forever be in my heart ❤️XX Vikki

I met Alexis in 1985 through our mutual friend, Marie. I had come to the UK on my own, so Marie arranged for me to go on a week's holiday with Alexis and a few of her friends to Devonshire. We had a great time -- a week filled with laughter, adventures, bodybuilders (!) and lots of cream tea. I remember Alexis as a lovely, generous person with a fabulous sense of humor. I only spent a single week with her but it is one I always will treasure. My heart is with you all at this sad time.
